Article Processing Charge

All articles published in HSF are published as fully open access. In order to provide free access to its readers, HSF relies on the payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support the costs of editorial review, peer review, and the costs of copy-editing, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management during the publication process, and charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 1500 USD, plus local value-added tax or local tax (where applicable), for papers accepted after peer review.

HSF will also discount or provide waivers on a case-by-case basis for authors from low- and middle-income countries and authors in the World Bank and Research4Life who do not have funds to cover APC. Please note that authors are required to submit all requests for APC waivers and discounts to the Editorial Office as part of the initial submission process; requests made during the review process or after acceptance will not be considered.

Manuscripts are subject to payment of a manuscript processing fee upon acceptance for publication. No refunds will be made after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Once your manuscript has been accepted, the corresponding author (or the payment contact provided by the authors ) will be notified that payment is due. The article processing fee requires payment within 5 working days. We supports the following payment methods:
